Family of Four Moved to Full-Time Camper Living

Start with the basic building block of all narrative.

We are all about doing this differently around here and we have been skirting around some big lifestyle shifts for a very long time. I started with practicing gratitude, flipping the script on the ‘boring’ tasks of being a stay-at-home mom, I read Essentialism by Greg McEwan, I got into Kon Mari then homeschooling and gardening. Alex learned to make bread. We kept exploring the idea of living with the essentials only- not minimalism, but being thoughtful consumers. We learned to live small and we kept questioning just what we needed to have to be our best selves...

Thus began our full time shift into a question we have been carrying for a long time: What if we lived tiny out of a camper and travelled with our family?

From February to May, we flipped the camper we had purchased. It’s a simple, 30ft travel trailer with a queen bed area and bunk beds: 240sq feet of space. The flip and design was pretty much my pet project and I really tried to use the space in the best possible way for a family of 4 and two pets- yep, the pets came as well. I can get into the nitty gritty of the flip another time, but suffice it to say, it all went according to design and we are rounding out our third full month of #camperlife.&nbsp;
